I've already looked at land crossing options ( fly to Buffalo and get a bus back over the border), but I don't really fancy that as my first choice travel plan. I've visited Canada twice in the last year and hold a valid ESTA for the USA. I've submitted a case specific enquiry (which was not easy to do) and the auto-reply says they will get back to me within 30 business days.Īny experience of this? Any clue of how I might get hold of someone on the phone to ask about my status? Should I just re-apply? I can't decide if it is cock-up or conspiracy. When I login to the website it says status 'accepted' but it also carries the same 'cancelled' text message underneath. So I've gone ahead and done the eTA this past weekend. I will arrive before the new Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is required, but then I leave for a few days to fly to the USA and, when I return to Canada, I will be within the eTA requirement window.
I'm travelling to Canada in a few weeks time.
